I've heard the Ista ones are abit thin and flimsy. If it breaks your canister will empty your tank in less than 15 minutes. Better to be safe than sorry

I'd build a Griggs or cerges co2 reactor. I'm running a cerges on the new tank and so far it's working awesome! Just google DIY cerges reactor. ;)

Good to see that drop checker nice and yellow ;) just remember when you stock it you might have to dial back abit on both ferts and co2. Tanks coming along nicely tho ;)

Id be trimming that HC, cut the tops out to make it flat and it should promote it to spread sideways. If it keeps going upward it will die off underneath and collect algae ;)

If it's dark green then u have a lack of co2. You want it to be lime green atleast (mine tends to be yellow for most of the day) crack it up another bubble and it should be better :) try and remove...

Don't be disheartened, everything is fixable. Push that co2 till the fish are struggling and then push it back a tad. Look for any signs of deficiencies and work from there.

I've found that 9/10...

Sponge filter? Not an air operated one I hope? Air stones/filters should never be used in a planted tank as it off gasses the co2.
