You can mix live rock and dry rock. Not sure if there is a ratio to use. I would get 30 lbs total and most I could like but at least 7 to 8 lbs to get it going.

He died yesterday and after I removed him. He had lots of cuts and scrapes and appeared to be bleeding under the skin. There for I believe a rock must have fell on him when I combined my tanks.

I agree check out liveaquaria.com they have a nano section of fish just for smaller tanks. Go slow and have fun. Starting a tank is the best part.

Thanks for the info everyone. I believe the source must be from the kreel I was dumping the water I was using to thaw into tank not thinking and noticed today that it was cloudy.
