Will diamond tetras be nippy toward angelfish?

I wanted to eventually get a school of about nine or ten diamond tetras to keep with my angelfish, who is currently still a quarter-sized baby. I want to wait a bit before adding more fish, though....

I think it wouldn't be a big deal if one side were raised. But BOTH sides are raised, I think this is very dangerous and could result in a broken tank and damaged floor. :(
