Sounds to me like something has drastically changed with your tank parameters. Could be the water hardness or pH level. But something is different and they don't like it.

Looking for a pump

Hopefully this is in the right place.

Need an external pump pushing 750 (ish) gph at roughly 7'. Want to turn a 120 gallon tank at least 5 times per hour (600 gph minimum).

On a bit of a budget...

Generally the only thing you need to do is wash it. I use pool filter sand. Its a light to medium tan. And was fairly clean to begin with....

If making plastic strips to separate substrates, look at the half gallon plastic bottles like Gold Peak tea is sold in. Its sturdy and clear. And it's a pretty decent tea as well, lol.

Rocks are nice in an aquascape. But THOSE rocks I would take out, if it were mine. They are too attention grabbing in my opinion. But, alas, it's your tank. And maybe that's what you want.
