I had a single polyp of this on a frag - it was spawning a second.....I was away for a few days and voila - it is gone. Not dead, but gone - the frag-mount is empty.

Does anyone have any idea...

Do Cole tangs fail to thrive?

Well campers! I removed the entire piece of coral that it was on, pulled it free and voila, its a starfish. must be some type of brittle, has that center body and the 5 legs. Each leg is about 1...

almost new 36" T5HO fixtures - 2 of 'em

These are less than 6 months old. (6 month replacement is September). I have moved up to LED' lighting 'cause I've become a reef from a fowler.

I don't have the original boxes but the fixtures...

tiny (1/8") pineapple-like things in sump!

I assume these are harmless, some type of detritus-eating invert - but curious, does anyone know what I am seeing? They are too small, it's too dark in the sump to get a decent photo....
