Angel I do feed him live food once a week other than that he gets frozen blood worms 3 times a week. I've used that method of feeding with all the predators I've raised and sold.

The live foods are really for 1 fish a 4-5 inch long gator gar......the rest of the fish took to frozen foods very well.

I've tryed freeze dried frozen and pellets on the gar but won't take any...

It also depends on the size of the bichir as to what else u can add to the tank......they are an active night time predator so make sure what u add can't fit into its mouth.
