Well you pay what you gets. You will gamble on it but because really just cost around 150 to 200 range, so it wouldn't be much of a lost even if you only use it for 6 month.

personally I won't use MH on BC29 . That is just me. I just don't like the extra heat added to the small tank. Well I have personal nightmare about MH in general so lol I am a bit bias for this.

I think PAR38 is a lot better for your size, maybe couple of them or a 24" fixture if you go with LED. again it depend on your live stock, keeping soft coral only means you don't need a lot of T5...
