I got my water from an ro system and i did a 5 gal water change and my tank is 55 gallons

I was told by my neibor that has had a saltwater tank for over 10- years that they will fight then one of them will turn into a female if ther both males

I had tested my water earlier today and the omon was 0 ppm the nitrite was 0 ppm I had a lil issue with my pump I added water I came back just a few min ago and notice one of my fish was dieing I decided to check my test agian and the omon was good but my nitrite was .25 ppm and my nitrate was...

That's koo I will upgrade soon. I just need something now first saltwater aquarium wasn't cheap and my wife is already irritated by me spending so much money plus I need a water chiller witch is also expensive.

I have to metal halide lights but they get to hot and I don't want to keep them on for 12 hours a day alot of power consumption...

I had it for a month I brought it home on my truck half full plugged it in put purified water plus salt with calcium in it waited till a 4 days ago to put a couple of fish in it and some coral witch seem to be doing really well he had 2 huge green puffer fish in it for almost a year not sure...

Good to know about the salinity and no the sand is not the dude at the aquarium store told me that it was best to use what was already in the tank because the tank had already been running for a year was he wrong?

And I did a water change last night my salinity is at 1.020
