I have had great luck with Penn Plax canisters. They are inexpensive (check chewy.com) and work really well. I use the Penn Plax Cascade 1000 for 100 gallon tanks on both a 60 gallon and 55 gallon freshwater tank.

I just did this with a cichlid tank upgrade and I have the two (old and new) canister filters running together. I moved over rocks, etc and used Fluval Cycle biological Booster Water Conditioner .

What about making the piece on the left an arch by standing it up? Maybe move the tall driftwood away from the side so the fish can swim around it

I've had a white lobster and he's probably just molting. Mine would missing for 2 or 3 days and suddenly reappear. You might want to put some sort of cave in with him, if he doesn't have one.

I vote for a school of 12-15 rummynose tetra. They are awesome...

Added a pair of Red Flame Dwarf Gourami's to my community tank.

Nerites are great along with Mystery snails. My LFS has them, but I've also gotten a few from dustinsfishtanks.com The Nerites I have do a great job of cleaning the tanks their in. I have 6 in my 60 gallon and will probably get a couple more. 4 in my 30 and 2 in one of my 10's.
