Today I decided to examine my tank closely, and found a hitchhiker on one of our pieces of LR. I know its some kind of coral, and possibly a zoa, but what kind?

Let's see, I won three goldfish at a fair. Realized my tank was too cramped too late, only had one goldfish left. Decided I needed a new tank (10 gallon) ended up turning that one into a tropical tank. Went out and bought another 10 gallon, this time Goldie got his tank, lol. Around all of this...

I don't know why someone would recommend tap either. I tried to start off with tap, and my 90 gallon saw a ph swing that killed all of the fish. :( that's a mistake I learned from!!

Umm, the only reading I can find that they aren't liking you is because you have a two bulb fixture? I'm sorry that I wasn't much help... But I hope they stop dieing and and start living!

Seems that I have very bad luck with angels also. Lol. I want to say, if you want a reef, start out with ALL of the right equipment before hand. It will save you alot of $$$ down the road. Also, I am following along. :thumb: Ps. I live the color of your lights.

I have never had a biocube. I have a 90 gallon and a 10 gallon in regular tanks. Bios are a great starter tank, but most people end up gutting them later on to mod the lights and such. I guess you could say it's a personal preference? But IMO I think it's a bit pricey to pay $200 for just a tank...

Also mine didn't eat aptasia but with these little guys it's kind of always hit or miss..

I also had a matted filefish. Mine picked at my snails when I bought them and dropped them in the tank. (only if they landed up-side down.) they are a pretty cool fish if you ask me.

They can't harm your stock unless you had an old light and switched it out for the new ones. Most people that do that buy the dimmable ones so that they can start with low percentages and acclimate their corals to their new lights. Slowly. The blue/white ratio is a total personal preference...
