That's cool with me. I'm just surprised that I have only seen one. I know they can birth up to 80 at a time so I figured it would take at least a day for the fish to eat all those fry...

I have 2 female swordtails and one male in my 55g community tank. Both of the females look pregnant but today I saw a lone fry swimming around in the tank. I've done some research and I've found that the fry usually come in greater numbers. Do these fish not birth them all at once or should I...
They are not always aggressive. I have two female gold gourami, two female pearl gourami and a male blue gourami in a 55g tank with some assorted tetras, live bearers and a pair of Bolivian rams. One of the golds chases the blue and other gold for about a second every once in a while but besides...

Run them both, that will help transfer the good bacteria to your new filter. You can keep the combo going or leave the AC50 and decommission the old, either works. More filtration is never a bad thing!

I appreciate your advice. I am in the same line of thinking as you are, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't wearing rose colored glasses because I wanted to keep them haha. I have a few other tanks I'm going to set up when I can afford new filtration for them. I will probably move some over when...
