I give algae wafers, and occasionally blanched veggies usually the cories eat the wafers and she doesn't show up ocassionally the veggies get nibbled on after lights out but I have never seen her do it.

Sounds like you are fine with the water declorinator. I thought you had like 100ppm out the tap lol. 5ppm won't harm anything and is a normal level in an established tank.

What size tank do you have? If its small I'd buy some bottled water to do this first change with. A local fish store that is on the same water supply could probably give you some good advice, or if they are on different water they might sell you enough to do your change. I know there are some...

I don't think so but I would do a careful small water change if your worried, maybe 1/2 a cup with new water that is the small temp. Goodluck!

With the rams you'd want your p.H. below 7, or steady at 7. THey do better in soft water but I think its best for them to have stable water conditions even more than it is to have the perfect soft water. Personally I would skip the silvertip tetras but I think the Rams would likely leave...

I love cory cats. In a 25 a school of panda cories would be great, but both they and the Rams like to hang out at the bottom. Harlequin Rasboras are a really attractive midwater schooler also.
