I need to catch up in my additions! A bit ago I added a red tail loach and two African dwarf frogs, and more recently I've added 3 mollies (2 are lyre tail) and 3 tiny endlers.
I also have a couple feeder fish for the cycling process in my 20 gallon. (Early stages in prep for an axolotl).
Maybe this is not the correct place to post this question, please redirect if necessary.
Why is it my guppies try to nibble at my arm when I'm moving stuff around in the tank or when I'm cleaning? Every single time I'm in there.. at least one or two of them (there are 6) come in for a bite...
I definitely don't want any females in the tank or I would be littered with fry. I'm not in a position to raise them and I don't know anyone with an aquarium to give/sell them to. So I have all male fancy guppies. I didn't think the fish was weak but perhaps he other sense what I can't see...
oh goodness. well, I guess that's it then.
There is another one now being picked on by two others. He doesn't seem ill whatsoever so, maybe they're just playing.. it seems like he's under constant chase.
no he didn't jump out... there's really no where for him to get out. Everything's pretty tight.
I've shone a flashlight into the plants and everything... I thought maybe he was eaten. Ammonia levels aren't higher than they were last night.. and I can't find any body parts at all.
Checked...
.... well I can't say for sure he's dead... because I can't find him. Is it possible the others sensed he was weak and ate him already.. in a 10 hour time span? He's just gone
We wanted a freshwater aquarium firstly because we're new to this and knew saltwater was far above our heads. There are so many fish we love that are freshwater so it really was an easy decision. :)
