    Fugeray Planted+ for small tanks

Hi there. Just curious if anyone who has a FugeRay Planted+ 12" can tell me if the mounts can be adjusted for an 8" across tank. I know that the FugeRay 10" can be, but I'm unsure about the Planted+. Also, has anyone used either the Planted+ or the Fugeray? How do they compare to other lights...

    Question about Gammarus Shrimp

It's also good to note that scuds will likely eat juvenile shrimp if you have them and will likely go 'overboard' eating dead plant matter by continuing into healthy plant matter. They will also strip some plants completely, like moss.

    Question about Gammarus Shrimp

You probably know them better as 'scuds'.

    Plants for 3G tank

Getting an Aqueon Evolve 4 within the next few days, and was thinking about how to best plant it for cherry shrimp and an Aquasoil substrate. So far, my list is: Narrowleaf Chainswords (mid-foreground) Anubias nana 'Nangi' (background) Anubias nana (midground) Willow Moss...

    Shrimp and Ammonium

Aren't crystal shrimp a bit less hardy than cherry shrimp? I have seen a lot of mixed information on RCS; while everyone agrees that GH must be above 4, some people say they breed like mad in acidic water, some in hard... they seem to be a very variable species.

    Shrimp and Ammonium

Hello, I know a post about it a lot, but I'm curious in this regard. I have a jar setup (1G) that is currently still awaiting livestock. It's getting plenty of light, and has several wisteria plants, java moss, and glossostigma, all growing. The only animals in there right now are substrate...

    Everything Pico

What qualifies as "low-tech"? I have jars that are being lit by plant lights (I have no good windows for them) and have airstones only for water movement (which isn't strictly necessary).

New nano-tank, first tank in 6 years

About to log off for the day, so I thought I'd post now. Regardless of the stocking of the tank, I picked up some Aquasoil (it seemed useful for some other projects as well)... so my plan: Substrate: Bottom ½-1" will be pumice, maybe reinforced with laterite? Mainly to promote flow. Next 1-2"...

New nano-tank, first tank in 6 years

For a variety of reasons, I don't have much choice over the container. The container itself, according to its specification (discounting the rim), is ~9" x 11.5" which is about 3.16 US gallons. The height does gives me room for taller plants, and there should be the ability to stock it with...

New nano-tank, first tank in 6 years

Hi all, I used to keep a community 30g tank in the past (centered around Almora Loaches - I miss them) but I unfortunately have moved several times, have not had an aquarium since then, adopted two cats, and have otherwise been completely out of the loop aquarium-wise. Our current rental...
