that is the EXACT same thing that happened to me. my mail swoard tal and 2 guppies died the day and the day after i got them. they didn't have ich or anything because theres no spots, but the only thing that i could see that was wrong was that they kept swimming at the top, but it wasn't like...
the tank is 20 gallons long. there is one big cave in it. the water is fine. when i walk away. he comes out and eats and swims around, but when i stay close to the tank he hides in the cave.
i have an oscar in my tank and it is always hiding. sometimes it comes out, but when i walk to the tank to look at it, it goes and hides again. why does he always swim away? i've had him for a few weeks now. shouldn't he be used to it by now?
i get the fish into a corner and then a line up the net witht he corner of the tank so there is no space and just pull it striahgt up as fast as i can. usually works.
well, usually he moves around more when i turn out the lights, but i added a new big rock to the tank today and he just stays behind it now. he hardley moves. only sometimes, but its rare. im going to try to change some of the water and see if anything happens.
