I have a 90 gallom tank that i want to make sure i have the right lighting

i would imagine since you are posting in the planted forum... you have plants? if so.. what plants? the type of plants you plan on keeping will make a difference in your light requirements. I also have a 90gal planted.. im running 2 x t5ho 48" life-glo bulbs... 6 hours on/ 18 off

Dechlorinate tap water in tank or bucket?

i have a 90gal... i normally do a weekly 50-60% pwc.... i use a python siphon, no buckets. i dose 1 cap full of Prime the minute i turn the tap to flow back into the tank... i then dose a second cap full once the tank is just about full. I have been doing this for years now, no issues.

Slightly high PH, what should I do?

Cant agree more... DO NOT try and change your PH unless 100% necessary for specific breeds of fish... a steady PH is way more important then a specific PH.... when introducing new fish from the LFS make sure you acclimate them properly to the PH of your tank... i usually do a 2-3 hour drip...

    Aquarium change fast.

the water is meaningless... keep enough tank water to keep the filter media and substrate wet during the swap...... after that dump the rest and move everything to a new tank... refill with tap... dose some Prime. done. no cycle. no hassle. i have moved my 90 gal planted tank 5 times in 10 years...

    Is a bubbler neccessary

i would have to agree that it is not necessary... PROVIDED that you are getting enough surface agitation for gas exchange... i personally do not like bubbles in my tank... which is why i chose to go with a powerhead with a snorkel on a timer to turn on when my lights turn off...

    Plants in gravel possible

Ive never planted in anything but gravel.... as a pp pointed out, some heavy root feeders may require root tabs.

Nitrites/Nitrates extremely high in new aquarium

first.. i would stay away from anything that will modify your PH.... stable PH is 1000 times better then trying to maintain a specific PH... all you need is a water conditioner to remove chlorine/chloramine and Prime will do that just fine! next...get away from the dipsticks.. they are highly...

    Best way to trim Moss

I get so fed up with my xmas moss... i end up just ripping it up by hand. The stuff grows everywhere!!! anything that gets loose and blows around the tank i just let it get stuck to the filter intake then clean that off a few days later.
