    Hey guys. Just wondering if anyone has ever used the Grey Coast Calcite before? Seachem says that the Calcite actually has a slightly higher buffering capacity than aragonite. Anyone know if this is true? Does anyone have any pics of black/dark sand in a tank? Thanks! ~devin...

    thx on the powerhead advice. Also the Oldcastle is the argonite based sand, the same thing that you buy at the petstore but in a different package and alot cheaper. The particles are round instead of sharp like silica and argonite will indeed help buffer the tank. Check this link out there...

    theatrus, do you have any problems with heat from the lights? I'm looking at getting the orbit extreme 4-130watts...(i found a really good deal on one), but i'm worried that there will be too much wattage for my 55 gallon which will create an excessive heat problem.
