Well the corners are rounded on the inside so I dont think that is why it cracked. I filled the crack with acrylic glue and glued an extra piece to the top and the bottom, from my understanding that should be more than sufficient. Thanks for all your input everyone.

yeah it has been filled for about 30min and seems to be doing fine. but better safe than sorry. The crack is not of the center brace so there is no bowing or anything.

It is a standard 180 (72x24x24) I was thinking that they should be ok if placed high in the tank directly under a light.
