If your medication is working well then just keep it clean once the round of meds is up.
I would recommend if you have enough medication to do one good clean where you replace at least half the water and siphon up any crud. The fresh water can be pre-dosed to the concentration already in the...
Id invest in some first bites fry foos or at least start crumpling in flake food if it's large enough.
Live food like infusoria () or brine shrimp would be ideal, but i think your fish isn't getting enough nutrition from just that egg!
You sound like a very responsible betta owner, a lot of people don't think filtration is even necessary!
As long as there is some sort of media in the filter that beneficial bacteria can grow on then the filtration sounds fine.
Once fin rot takes hold it is somewhat more difficult to get rid...
Hey there! Sorry to hear you've been having problems with your betta fish. Do you have any kind of bio or mechanical filtration set up? generally fin rot is only caused by poor water quality. Also in my experience fin rot is more common when your ph is above 7.5
I haven't found any images online of these plants actually blooming so I thought I'd share. I accidentally dipped the flower under the water, it didn't start out looking that soggy!
Nope not as far as i can tell, even the other vals are fine its just the one runner. Ill put a pic of the whole tank sorry about the algae. Oh and i got the amazons from the store like that, the new leaves come in straight though
As you can see the rest of my vals are straight, but the one little one in the middle isnt?? Im confused, the only things i added to my tank were 4 large straight vals, and now one of its plantlets is a corkscrew lol. Anyone know whats going on, or had that happen to them?
Amano shrimp only breed in brackish water, less likely to be a pest in fresh water systems. So they live in fresh water fine but they arent technically freshwater invertebrates?
Amanos are actually quite large, mine is almost 2" long now, definitely more than a mouthful, and though i do have a decent amount of cover he spends half the time cleaning off the surface of the glass so cover isnt a huge issue. Also with the tank size youd probably only need one, considering...
Honestly i would just get an amano shrimp. Theyll eat almost any kind of soft algae, have totally wiped out the algae in even some crazily neglected tanks. Couple extra water changes might help, watch the feeding, but those shrimp are honestly incredible little cleaners
