Well, you levels look good and it looks like it cycled. Water changes seemed to be enough. I don't have an idea but if it were me, I would be doing daily water changes and testing all the time.

What are your levels of Ammonia, NitrItes, NitrAtes before a water change? How often do you do a water change of 5 gallons? What do you test your water with?

You should do a water change every time your Ammonia are over .25 and you NitrItes are over .25.

I would test before a water change and see what your levels are. Then you will begin to see a pattern to help you set up a schedule for future water changes.

You also have to take into account water quality...you need to test your water to make sure that NitrAtes remain under control...in my 55g, I have 6 4 inch Hap sf Crossbars and need to do a 50% WC every 5th day or my NitrAtes will go over 40 ppm...I have 20 plants in the tank. You will need to...

Here is the math on water changes you might not know... Say your tank is cycled and now your Nitrates have built up with tiny water changes... Levels of over .40 ppm is toxic fish, especially if your ph is above 7. Say your level is now .80 ppm (probably highter). You do a 12 gal water...

To remove motor, rotate 1/4 revolution and motor will unhook from clear plastic body. You can replacement motors.

Depending on your ph, anything over .25 is toxic and more toxic the higher your ph above 7 and less as your ph goes under 7. Let your Ammonia levels tell you when you need a water change...
