I like to go with a skimmer atleast double the size of the tank. I would just do a lot of big water changes over and over and over. You have to pound the nitrates down with water changes it could take several months because the rock can absorb and continue leaching it

what are you using to export nutrients? I see a filter pad and carbon, lights, sump is there a skimmer?

What filtration do you have, can you give us a complete run down of tank

AlgeaFIx Marine I assume you are using is just a nadaid. it kills the algae once you stop dosing it the algae comes back. It doesn't fix the problem of high nutrients only water changes, water movement and good quality filtrations does

bad IMO but if you do go with it clean it weekly, would be better off with a good quality skimmer

How old is the tank? I would start treating the tank as though you have high NO3 and PO4 even though your test kits are probably going to read zero because the algae is consuming them

Look into a Loc-Line for your return and you can fan it across the surface
