didn't know there was one but thanks I will look for it.

mine hasn't made one since he was scared by the cat but I suspect he may once he's over that. my friends fish makes a new nest every time they change his water within a few days. I suppose it might bug them a little but they seem to rebuild when they are ready.

It won't harm him. He may start a new one. Give him a little time. :)
