I feed mine New Life Spectrum Betta pellets. They say peas are no good for a Betta.

I just received a $80 order from pets and ponds. The shipping was $8.99. It took a week to ship from Ontario to Newfoundland. Better to stay in Canada when ordering to avoid excessive shipping/customs fees.

I find the prices at Pets and Ponds to be pretty good.

Do a water change,around 50%. Also if you have a test kit check your water parameters.

I just picked up the fluval Chi today and plan on getting a Betta for it once I also get a heater. Its only 5gal or 19 liters with a fairly small surface area due to its shape so I think I will stick with just the Betta and maybe a snail. Great. I will pick up 3 more rasboras this weekend, or if they have the cories in stock I will get them. My LFS has had trouble getting the julii cories in the last month or so, right when I started looking for them.:(

My tank acts similar. PH is 6.8-7 out of the tap but tank was 6 or below.What solved it for me was adding some crushed coral. With the crushed coral added my pH stays around 6.8. My tap water is really soft and has no buffering capability.

I have 2 julii cories now and want to get 4 more but my LFS has been unable to get any in for the last 3 weeks. They do have sterbai cories in stock. If i picked up 4 sterbai cories would they school together with the juliis or should I just wait until they get more julii's?

I love watching my corys. The do need to be in a school of about 6 or more.
