    Pea Puffer breathing heavy

Unfortunately, the tough pea puffer passed away the night after visiting the lfs. Their results showed my water as being soft and recommended adding crushed coral to the tank. So I did, but the damage was already done. When I turned my tank lights on the next morning my other 3 peas were looking...

I do not think it is temperature because then all of them would be breathing fast and short breaths. New fish.

    Pea Puffer breathing heavy

The acclimation process was done by floating the lfs bag with the puffer. Then over time adding small quantities of tank water. After about an hour of repeatedly adding water, I let them free in my tank. He looks normal from the outside. No discoloration or lumps. He doesn't look fat or thin...

    Pea Puffer breathing heavy

Really! :-/ poor guy. He's not displaying any "lumps" or discoloration. Around his pupils is a brownish ring. I don't know if that has something to do with it. New fish.

Half Moon Betta Build Log 10gal

Because I don't know the actual term, I came up with one lol. They're dorsal fins locked together, essentially getting them stuck. It was very traumatizing, ultimately fatal. New fish.

Half Moon Betta Build Log 10gal

Update as of 08.24.2015 A week ago a pair of My male Endlers got accidentally dorsal locked sometime while I was at work. In the best way I knew how to separate them, I gently pinched them by their tail fin and pulled them apart. One male died within eight hours, most likely due to an...

Half Moon Betta Build Log 10gal

Thanks Sky! I was hoping someone would see that I was taking in all the information that I was given and putting that knowledge to work. That's why this community exists. I can't wait for this young tank to really fill out in the coming years. New fish.

Half Moon Betta Build Log 10gal

Quick update 07.28.2015 This past Sunday 07.26 I did a water change and decided to split up the dwarf chainsword that had been "chaining" into my Amazon swords. Little did I know that I had 6 separate offshoots to separate and replant. Here's the obligatory full tank shot: That's it for now...
