your tank is way over stocked when these fish get bigger there not going to have enough space too hide from the male and second you only need one male i would advise getting a 55 gallon if possible that would be perfect for them with a couple clay pots a couple pieces of slate with a bare bottom

i think what your problem is that ghost shrimp are very dirty and may collect toxins in their bodies so when your tiger barbs eat them they are smaller fish so all those toxins get released into that small fish

i do understand that they will get bigger i have a 300 i will put them in with about another 3 males and 12 females plus those

your always going too lose fry some are just born that way

i just got 1 male and 4 female electric blue peacocks my local LFS said they would be perfect for that size of tank and there with two synadonis cats

i would say yellow lab cichlids very pretty
