Kole tangs do good in tanks that size, I have one in my 60

But if I keep it at the surface I feel like the surface layer of water doesn't get pushed into the overflow

It seems more like sand particles than micro bubbles, could it be that the water is getting stuck in the middle of the tank cause of the way the return is setup?

You can only tell in high flow areas. When the pumps are off you can't see anything

I use a single 48" stunner strip, the magenta/blue one after my main lights go off (9:00pm-11:30pm) it looks really nice
