yea thats pretty much what my research on the products for instant cycling. bio-spira was the only product good for it. which everything seems to be fine after 24 hours of putting my tetra's in the tank. my girlfriend got a kick out of watchin them eat for the fact they stayed in a school...
thanx for the discussion links. I'll diffidently have to check it out. so far i've found aquarium salt for freshwater mainly beneficial on the behalf up medical purposes like you said. which will come in handy if i ever need it.
yea i don't think my LFS heard of a fish less cycle before the previous person mentioned it to them. but actually as the previous posters talked about diffidently doing a fish less cycle next time i agree with 'em. but I'm sure this experience with the tetra's will be fine.
i just really need...
i did actually today. and they said they would see what they could do because other people has been considering it. but as far as them actually going to carry it and what not i don't have a clue.
of course today they tried to add a few extra tetra's to the bag lol trying to get me to buy more...
and has anyone ever had experience using a product called "cycle"? because i read on the packaging that it does help keep the ammonia and nitrites at a lower level. so maybe that could greatly reduce the chance of me losing the fish and probably help more with using this method of cycling.
lol i didn't mean that in a bad way. I'm gonna do everything in my power to actually keep these fish there's no doubt about that. i just said that its not bad losing the amount of $$ spent not the fish. sorry for making it sound like i don't care about the fish. although i should of went with a...

well i have yet been able to find out how to close a thread. i decided today after searching high and low from here to 3 hours away drive. cant find any surfactant free ammonia. so i decided. i'm gonna get 4-6 red minor tetra's for the cycling.
no. the 10 gallon tank isn't far from being fully cycled. another week or two according to tests. and such. of course i'm assuming about that as well :P
well that's what i was thinking around 4 to 6 tetra's. which that's actually good advice. of course i was going to wait about 3 to 4 weeks before i add any type of bottom feeder's. the only thing i will probably add until the cycle is finished is a pleco of some sort when i end up having to deal...
ghost. i actually do understand what ur saying about adding to much at one time and all this. which i could probably just add 4 red tetra's to the tank to start the cycle. and probably after a week or maybe longer. i was considering adding a bottom feeder and an algae eater for a cleaning crew...
jonny the tank is 38 gallons.
and GhostKnife i'm sure it will. but u think 6 red tetra's would be to much? if so i haven't added them yet. i haven't even got them will be getting the fish tomorrow to start this tank. and as far as cycle goes. isn't it like 40 bucks a bottle? at walmart? i've...
