Great question. I've been feeding every other day or once a day but not twice a day like the instructions on the food says ;) I've been wondering myself if I was starving them.
I have a clown plec and it is worthless. But I have a serious green algae problem. Maybe that's why. Any recommendations for green algae? I don't mind snails, I just don't want a bazillion of them.

Yay!! I got my clown plec some Mopani last week and soaked it for a few days before putting it in the tank. I put it in there 2 days ago and that's the only place he's attached himself to during the day!

Here's how I acclimated the fishies:
1. put bag in water for 15-20 minutes.
2. poured about 1/2 cup tank water into bag every 20 minutes over the course of 2 hours...
Just over one week ago I got my tank all cycled (fishless) :dance: so I headed on down to the LFS to get me some fish (2 Sundays ago).

Poly-fil.....huh. Interesting. I've got heaps of it laying around due to sewing projects. I just bought a piece of Mopani yestreday and am currently soaking it. I boiled it first and the water was daaaark brown! Today, it looks like very watered down tea. I suspect it will be ready for the tank...
