I believe that only the calcerous types go sexual. The leaf types are mostly kept in refugiums and harvested periodically for nutrient export.

What species of Caulerpa are you talking about?

Diligent manual removal is the only way to beat this stuff. It may take a couple months, but you can beat it. Also, as was said before, reduce photo period and use RO water for make up and changes. I don't think that you'll find a clean up crew that will touch it.

I'm assuming that you can't send frags that are attached to rocks, since they would probably destroy the frag from bouncing around. Or am I wrong? Does the thermos have glass interiors or are they now plastic? Do you fill the thermos completely full of water, or do you leave some air in it?

Can someone fill me in on how thermos trading is done? I have 4 good size Capnella tree corals I'd like to trade.

All my makeup water is replaced with kalk, other than that nothing is added but fish food. I do have MH lighting though.

These stars do not eat coraline. I have thousands of these little stars and I have to scrape coraline off of the front glass every week. My back glass has a 1/8" coating of coraline and the rocks and powerheads are all covered.

What are your calcium and alkalinity levels?
