I 55g is a small tank for a single Jack alone. If you put anything else in there with it one or the other will almost definitely be killed. I single adult JD will be a big enough bio-load in a 55g as well.

Detritus worms are not a single species of worm it's a general term. The terms detritus worm includes black worms and tubifex which can get large.

Totally agree, if you want to keep any of the other fish alive in the aquarium you will need to either re-home the JD or re-home everything else.
