I'm no expert, but from your pictures this looks like wrought iron. I think angle iron stands are made for smaller tanks and the legs and braces are usually flat, not rounded like yours appear to be.

I think you should be fine with this tank as long as this is wrought iron and not angle iron. The angle iron doens't appear to be as strong. I've used wrought iron stands for years and I've never had a problem. In fact, they are ususally made to hold another tank or 2 (depending on the size)...

I'd like to set-up a 20 gal. fancy guppy tank with the only other tankmates probably being Otos. I plan on using plastic plants, but was wondering what would be a good filter. Would one of the smaller Penguin or AquaClear filters be a good choice? Thanks.

I'm finally getting around to ordering a retrofit kit from AH Supply. I'm going to order the 2 x 13 watt Bright Kit for a 10 gal. tank. Am I better off getting 2 of the 5500K bulbs or 2 of the 6700K bulbs? Tks.

The 280 has been working out just fine on my 29 gal. Mine is as quiet as can be. Is yours noisy due to water returning to the tank or is the noise coming from the impeller?

Biowheel and Power Outage I don't believe it will run when the water lowers to a certain point, since the water level in the filter will be the same as the water level in the tank. Am I correct on this?

What about when doing water changes on a tank? Should the biowheels be placed in some water until you are done or will just leaving them in the filter be OK?
