I have a 5 year old female :devil: red devil cichlid that eats/kills anything I put in my 55 gallon tank. Is there anything that could possibly survive? Or would it stress my red devil out?

I have a 5 year old red devil and I feed him larde pellet food. I read somewhere that they should eat veggies too. Something about boiled lettuce and peas? I also read that they like earthworms. Regular fishing bait would work...right? Anything else special my red devil needs in his diet?:dance:

Does anybody know what a fish's vision is like? Can they see me? I have a large red devil cichlid and sometimes I pretend I am a fish and make my hands flow like fins and open and close my mouth like a fish would. Do you think my fish thinks I am a fish when I do this? Can fish see in color...

When fish are over fed and their tank even looks cloudy from it what should u do ? I scooped out floating leftovers. It's a new tank. Was just getti g the water right. Just a few frequent partial water changes? What would be best to do?

I have a 48 gallon tank with a lit of cave hide outs. Is there a algae eater tough enough for my convicts but not too big for my tank?

After soaking them in hot hot water in a big bucket and scrub ing them and power rinsing them a d then soaking em in the same water treatment conditioner and drying In sun I put the rocks In. So far so good. My convicts love their new rock caves!

I've collected a dozen of great rocks to make caves out of from the beach. I was told if I boil them first they will be safe to put in my tank. Is that true? They are rocks from the ocean and I have a freshwater tank

Just set up a fifty gallon tank with two female blue convicts and one male. (I am hoping they breed). Would I be able to put some sort of algae eater in the tank with my convicts? Any advice for this newbie?

Ok tank might be bigger than what I earlier stated. Somebody looked at this picture and told me this tank I'm picking up may be bigger than I expected- which would be awesome. Looking at this picture what would you estimate gallon wise?

I bought a new air pump for this 5 gallon tank I have. After installing it I read that that specific air pump is meant to be used for 20-60 gallon tanks.

Is it possible that too many air bubbles can scare my tetras?
