Also, do I need special magnets? I know they needed be strong for the glass but I'm worried if all magnets are all the same (home depot brand) or if I need to buy aquatic ones
I was wondering if it safe to use JB weld in a reef aquarium. Looking to do a cheap DIY magnet mod on my new maxi jet 1200 buy JB welding 3 little but strong magnets in place of the 3 crappy suction cups.
If JB weld is not safe was is a strong safe glue/epoxy?
Ok thanks for all the help. Will be going to pick up some sand tomorrow. Was looking at getting CaribSea Aragonite Seaflor Special Grade Reef Sand it's size is 1-2 mm is that too big? Or will it be fine.
Didn't even think about the cc coming up through the sand. I'm gonna try and get most of the cc out. An do you think I could just add 40lb of "dead" sand?
Did not even think about that. And that would stop the huge debris build up in the crushed coral.
