Yeah males good so rest off fish. Just don’t understand it even someone who breeds them says never heard off males attacking females but fish are weird so anything can happen just wish had reef cam to show

Yeah it’s a real mystery, only thing I can think off is female was ill and male just trying finish her off but never showed any signs till after he attack her. Female died yesterday but wasn’t eating

Just weird as she eat the eggs then few hrs later he went on attack mode

No they been mating for about a year, never had problem with them. Females in sump not eating in last few days and her anal fin looks infected now

Hey guys I’ve had a mating pair for about 16 months now all been fine with them. They breeding for last 13/14 month male never has eggs past 8 days so know they not both males. Yesterday they where doing the dance then while later notice female had eggs in mouth then was gone so maybe eaten...

If had space would set up my qt tank for them. Only first time seen mouthful so probably won’t happen. Going make urchin and put in corner off tank to see if any baby’s go init to try catch them and put in sump

Hey guys so I bought pair off cardinals at end off November and already think my males got mouthful off eggs. Has anyone raised them in main tank before or do they just end up as fish food. Read up male won’t feed till eggs are gone so is there any worry male dying off hunger. Thx

Update so added more rock and my bristle tooth and took to new rock straight away. Was bit chasing first day but tang was up to standing his ground, when lights came on next day all peaceful and tang can swim anywhere

Well tangs about 3-4in long,he in qt at min till I make mind up what going to do but been thinking just take him back and might get two more female anthias

Gold rush tang is a bristletooth aswell only grows to 6-7in. So your saying my tanks full with fish with what I got in there already without tang

80g got two clown.1 royal gramma,1 watchman goby,1male 2 female anthias and a fairy wrasse. My male anthis sometimes chases the royal if it comes over anthias side off tank. Think problem I got is I’ve built up right side off tank more with rock then the left side so my anthias live on right...
