Hey Kwan,
I have never heard anyone complain about 2 many copepods. If you don't want to have as many get a manderin fish. They are nature predators and pretty cool if you ask me.
Bio-Spira is just not a good idea for cycling a reef tank. You need to cycle with uncured live rock. Bio Spira in my experience with fresh water has made water conditions very unstable.
If it where me I would get some uncured live rock and let the tank cycle for a few weeks. Uncured rock is the best thing for cycling a tank. Biospira will lead to unstable water conditions even when you think it is cycled, and you will be on a rant again in a few weeks. Just my opinion.
Definitely Joe's Juice.
You can check out the results I had with his product on
www.joesjuice.com
It is much better than using kalk because the solution has an ingredient in it that makes the aitasia think it is food. They ingest the juice and BOOM its gone. No injection either.
Hope this...
Hey beachbumin,
I live in NC as well and this is just not the area to collect nsw. Even if you decided to you would need to go out a good ways in a boat to collect. I would just not recommend it at least not our NC coastlines.
jamal, I am using these lights on my 140 reef tank soon to add another strip, but anyway they work very well. They do have some heat issues if placed under a canopy but otherwise a good product. They have legs that will extend the light over an open tank if you need them, purchased separately...
Sounds like....
Sounds like you buddy needs a good old fashioned you know what!!!
Well like previously stated lay down some ground rules next time. Man that is crazy. Tell him he better respect you more than his girl next time.
Good morning how is everything doing this morning? Nitrate 80+...Wow!!!! You might want to get that Hawaiian Moray to a LFS until something is calmed down in that tank. Eels are very sensitive to that because they have no scales. Anyway let us know how everything is going.
Ok heres the deal. I have a 140 gallon oceanic tank with canopy. Currently I have 4 55 watt compacts and 2 regular fluescents bulbs. Definitely not enough light. I currently have to keep the glass top on the aquarium because we have dogs in the house and I am worried about hair and junk getting...
I would say a lawnmower blenny would be the way to go. Mine will actually eat off the glass on my tank. I have an Achilles tang as well, but their is a draw back. The fish is absolutely beautiful, but if not properly feed he can unintentinally strip coralline algae off LR. He grazes on...
