Can I place it directly on the sand? It has about 7 heads/branches. It was thriving for about 4 months and I redid some rock work and now it doesn't come out as strong. Thinking it's maybe the low flow now?? Anyhow I want to move it to front of tank on the sand. This ok?

I have been using Instant Ocean for a 6months on my new 125G Reef tank. I'm tired of adding calcium so changed to Red Sea Salt....I am adding it during my twice a week PWC's. each PWC is 10 gallons.... Does anyone see this as being a problem? Will I see chemical changes or anything I need...

Sorry, I type too fast for my thoughts... it is a 125g tank...I have the same one as you. What I have been doing is during my water changes 10g twice a week... I have been adding water that is at 440 Calcium.... I'm hoping that within a couple months this would bring the whole tank to that...
