correction, i coaxed it out with some food, and it does have slightly darker stripes. Thats what I was hoping MT79, the LFS seemed pretty well stocked so Im thinking they just got a shipment in recently and the star may have not eaten in a while since it was in shipping, ect.

the star is greyish color, and has small bristles he moves on his bottom side. could it possibly be a brittle and they gave me the wrong one? it is solid color w/ no stripes like a serpent.

I added a serpent star to my tank today and it has been pulling my mexican turbos out of their shells and under the rocks to eat i assume. is this typical behavior?

ok, couldnt really think of a good topic for this so sorry for the vague topic. I have noticed peices of my live rock, mabye nickel sized peices are being broken off of the main rocks and end up in places in the tank nowhere near rock. any idea whats doing this?

yeah i havent updated info, its in a 100gall tank w/ a 30gallon sump. sounds like what it is doing hara. its gotten into some tight places, as far as the white spot, its cleared up, im running a 9watt uv steralizer and i have a cleaner shrimp.

I introduced a new regal tang into my tank about a week ago, when introduced he had a white spot on his tail, since then that has gone away, but the tang has been acting funny lately, hes been laying down on the rock or in holes and not moving for a few minutes at a time, then he goes back out...

Joes Juice is awesome at removing atipsia from rock. i just tried it, worked in seconds w/ no harm from tank.

I just set up a new 100gallon reef tank w/ 30 gallon sump, i am using a berlin turbo skimmer and am having problems with too mutch water going into the collection cup as soon as i turn it on, any advice on how to adjust the flow?

Ok so i got my new 100 gallon set up and approx 80 gallons of water in it w/ 80lbs of sand and i just got the stuff to set up my sump. problem is, the sump wont fit unless i remove a support from the back of the stand. the board is in the center of the back of the stand is approx a 4x1x36, what...

awesome, protein skimmer and sump should provide for adaquite oxygen levels so im probably going to plumb from the bottom, kinda hide some stuff under the sand.

I have seen tanks plumped several ways. spray bars, returns at the top, and having several returns kind of acting as powerheads coming from under the sand. Was curious if there was any specific reason or benifits for any or if it was all just preference.
