Is in the process of completely melting from transplant shock. There's still what looks like a lot in there since I had so many but the leaves are bad of what's left. Should I just cut all of them to its bare root? Would that speed the process up as far as getting the plant going to send...
I'm running 2 aquaclear 70's on slowest flow. It's still melting back bad. I mean I kinda expected it so that's why I got so many so the tank can still look full even with the melting
Thanks. I feel like this is probably the best answer and makes the most sense. I guess every tank is different. In your estimation how long does it generally take for Vals to root? Mine have been in about 5-6 weeks.
I have a 55 gallon that's been established for 6 years. I've had horrible luck with plants. Probably being too impatient at times and my patience is testing me again. I just overhauled the tank with probably 130 stems of super long and healthy vals. Now I know they go through transplant shock...
You can buy some 3 dollar play sand or if you don't like that you could go with a 10 dollar bag of pool filter sand. No need to break the bank for substrate. Plants will grow in anything as long as you feed the substrate. I wasted a lot of money on eco complete. Doesn't help with plants...
