    Bump on swordtail! Please help!

Oh I also noticed one of my Julii cory cats itching itself a couple of weeks ago. I was waiting and watching to see if it continued, but I haven't seen it happen that much.

    Bump on swordtail! Please help!

When there was ich in the tank she was slower. She moves around a lot and eats. Her fins are clamped. The only other thing is that her color has gotten blotchy. It doesn't look as smooth. You can't really see it in the picture but is he has a darker blotches of orange on her.

    Bump on swordtail! Please help!

Had ich in my tank a month ago. Since my baby snails just hatch I couldn't put medicine in the tank so I slowly bumped up the heat. The ich disappeared but the fish started to grow a bump. Is this a bacterial infection? The scales around the bump are being pushed up. Should I put her in a...

    Redoing tank quesion?

I've never had shrimp before so I am not quite sure what would be best for them. For the filter part... I would also throw away the media part when I had fancy goldfish but I had carbon in the filter and I really just followed what the filter's instructions. Sometimes I would go a little longer...

    What should I do here?

Your levels are too high. You do have to do water changes but too many can harm your fish. I lost fish that way because that is what other people told me to do as well. I am also in the cycling phase and opted to buy bacteria. The guy at petco was helpful he check my water levels and said they...

    Redoing tank quesion?

I am kind of new at this but have some experience. Two years ago I had a fish tank up and running with gravel. When I set up my tank this time, I used sand. I already put my water in before my sand. You have to rinse out the sand before you put it into the water. Make sure you rinse it well or...

    New and not quite sure

I’m not quite sure anymore that it is ammonia. I did a water change today, about 30%. My black guppy is doing a lot worse. He is shaking and his back fin looks more beat up. No one is picking on him. I am starting to think that the Turquoise fish I got from Petsmart had fin rot. The other...

    New and not quite sure

I know it takes several months to cycle. I wrote up another thread and others were saying since it's a new tank to often check it and I may have to keep doing water changes if it's ammonia. I have check the ammonia, but I have the strips right now to hold me over until my liquid tester kit...

    New Fish Tank and Problems

I really do think that my tanks hasn't cycled all the way. I will be sure to watch out for any changes in the water. I'm not to sure though that my guppy's personality change is due to water issues, but I am new at this. Thanks for the tank compliment. It took me such a long time to decide how I...

    New Fish Tank and Problems

Thank you for responding. I have the API PH liquid kit and I use that one, but I did use the API strip test for everything else. I did notice that PH reading on the strip gave extremely different results. The liquid test showed 7.5 PH and the strip showed 6.2 PH. I was more inclined to believe...
