320 gph enough or to much it says it pumps to 6ft.

How big of a pump do i need the top of tank will probably be about 6ft off of the ground :confused:

huma-huma Thanks for leting me know what size I need for the sump and no the 55 is not drilled I'm thinking of trying a DIY Overflow out of clear pvc down to the sump i've been reading alot about them im going to put a ball valve on it to contor the flow and a Solenoid Valve to stop the water...

U many just need to go to radio shack and get a new switch and some other parts if u can take the light and timer with and let them know what u r trying to do

Ill do so price research and see what i can do :)..... do i need a pump for the canisters the top of the tank will be about 5.5ft to 6ft high depending on the stand i will get or make i havent decided yet lol... I did think it was going to be this many choises when i got it but it will all be...

Thanks Mr Limpet for the information... Unfortunately both Fluval model 305 & 405 r kind of high for my wallet for now... Is there any thing eles do or make that wont hang on the back of my tank other then a tube or two... I have a 10g & a 20gL siting aroud can i do any thing with them?

TYVM for the suggestions--rainbow shark was already in consideration LOL but please keep in mind....it will be MONTHS before this tank ever gets a drop of water in it!!! Must get the basics set up first.......
