    Suicidal Molly

No the tank is in a pretty similar place to where it was in the old apartment. I've always kept the temperature at 80 degrees. I keep a close eye on the ph, ammonia and other levels have remained normal aside from the minor ammonia rises from when the other fish died. And yes I keep my mollys in...

    Snail problem

Okay so it's been awhile since I've asked for help and I was hoping to get some more feed back this time. I'm posting a photo of some of the snails this time to maybe someone knows what kind they are? This is about a 2 inch section of some of my driftwood. It's like this all over the tank. But...

    Suicidal Molly

Okay so I moved a couple months ago and and my fish have been acting weird ever sence, I used to have 7 mollys and I lost 4 of them about 3 weeks after the move, all I could think of was it was stress because I was frequently checking the water and salinity levels and everything was next to...

    Snail problem

Idk were else they would have come from. It's crazy there's gotta be like 100 brand new baby snails in there. I have 4 mollys and a Violet Goby

    Snail problem

Ok so I thought I was done ever worrying about snails when I got rid of my live plants 3 months ago. I think that the frozen Mysis Shrimp I bought to feed my fish was harboring a bunch of snail eggs, that is the only thing I can think of that would cause this problem. I went to go turn off the...

    Moving with fish

So I have a 29g tropical brackish water tank with 6 mollies and a Violet Goby. No live plants I gave up on that after my Java ferns died. We're going to be moving in the next couple weeks just a couple miles down the road and was hoping to get some tips. I know I'll have to empty out the tank...

Is my molly pregnant or sick

We got this molly about 3-4 months ago, about a week or two after we got it her stomach started to grow so I figured that we must have gotten a pregnant fish. The thing is she hasn't given birth yet and I thought mollies were only supposed to be pregnant for 2 months max. She has also recently...

    Help! brackish water plants

Yes, mollys are extremely adaptable fish. They can handle both straight fresh water and salt it's just they are better off in brackish.

    Help! brackish water plants

Well the mollys I have only have a year left to live before they die of old age and they've been happy together in this tank with no signs of aggression they were also really happy in the the 20g tank I had before this one, only reason I upgraded is because I wanted another fish.

    Help! brackish water plants

BBradbury- that would actually be really interesting to see, I've had 4 of my mollys for a year now and they are just over 2.5 inches. My largest one is probably barely 3. And like I said reducing the salt would be just fine for the mollys, when I first got them I kept them inow fresh water for...

    Help! brackish water plants

Well that would work for my Molly's it wouldn't work for my Violet Goby, right now they're all in a 29g tank. I think you might be mixing up mollys with a different fish, mollys only grow to be 2-3 inches long. My goby however is 4 inches long now and will grow to be 12, but my mollys should be...

    Help! brackish water plants

Hey so I've been planting my tank since I got it. I never had any problems with my first batch of plants before I started adding salt to my water (I have mollys which I learned can survive in fresh water but are happier in brackish water) all the plants I had before quickly died after that, so I...

    Brine shrimp

Yeah my hands have a tendency to shake a lot when I'm measuring things so trying to get an equal amount of something with out a teaspoon is rough, and I don't have a 1/8tsp measure. I'll try freezing then then and see how my fish like it. Hopefully save some money to since the brine shrimp...

    Brine shrimp

Has anyone had any luck with freezing them? I don't have a measuring spoon under 1/4 of a teaspoon and that even seems to be too much
