Not sure if it's still ok to post here... But oh well. Anyone here from the Cedar City area?

Accidental fish in cycle. [My journey]

Super handy, isn't it? I really like the amount of time it's cut out of my maintenance routine.

Accidental fish in cycle. [My journey]

Just about to suggest a Python as well. I can do a 50% PWC in my 40, two 10's, and my 29 in under 40 minutes. And no hauling buckets [emoji4]

Have you read about fishless or fish-in cycling? That might be a good place to start if you haven't.

Looking for a yellow freshwater fishy

Honey Gouramis are awesome. Small, and not aggressive while not having the health problems of their Dwarf counterparts.

    Tank mates

I've never had a problem with those two together. I'm sure they'd be fine.

    New 40 Gallon Breeder

Well, I bought the Polycarbonate roof material and made a lid out of that. I have enough left to make two more lids. All for $11. Great deal. Also order two AC 50 filters, Master Test Kit, Water conditioner, and the Aquino Pro 150 Watt heater. Just a few more things to go!

    Questions

At my Walmart there's two brands. The Aqua pure? (I think) and the Tetra. The tetra one is a little more money, but that might be the one you found. Does the $45 come with any extras?

    Questions

Yes, I'm almost positive. Not sure if they could keep even low light plants alive, but it might be possible. It might come with a heater as well.

    Questions

If you're in a pinch for money, and just need a hold over tank, Walmart sells 10 gallon bundles for $21.95.

I'd second the Python! A little more money, but worth every penny.
