Just an update.. I found that my water was getting cloudy due to having too much water in the tank. The chemi pure bag had blocked the bottom of the media basket causing the water to just sit there. I found that in the biocube you have to keep it between the low and high water level marks...

if they are eating i would say they should be fine. could just be that its a new tank for them

Mine likes to hang around the top of the tank. The Ph swing could have affected them. You really dont want to have but a .20 ph swing per day.

doing PWC may help, but it sounds like the tank is still cycling.

You are going to need a SW test kit so that you know when your tank has cycled. The key to SW tanks is to go slow. As for the water i would use RO/DI water. But deff get a test kit so that once you start you can keep an eye on ammo, nit, nitrate, and ph. Cycling your tank could take some time...

I have had my chemi-pure elite in my SW tank now for a month. I started to notice that there were small particles floating around in the water making it look cloudy. I then noticed that i had copepods swimming around in the water. It has been several days now and even with a PWC the water...

Personally i like the biocubes. I just like that everything is made into the tank and its quite. Several small fish can but put in a small biocube and i think it would be the best tank to start off with.

I think i'm going to leave them on and see how they do. I like the way they look and like you i'm using it as a nightlight. I'm new to the SW and i just didn't know if corals would be affected by the moonlights.

I have a biocube 14 SW reef tank. It has been up and running for a month now. Cycle has completed. I have added 1 chromis, 1 clown, green mushrooms, and zoanthids. My lights run for 8 hours a day on timers. My question is about the moonlights. Should they run all the time or should my tank...

Ro/Di water removes everything

I've never had to get one out but i would not touch it. THe bristles will sting you. They dont like light so cut all the lights off so that they will come out. Maybe try using a net?

If im correct "fireworms" a type of bristle worms are the only ones that eat corals. Regular bristle worms are good for the tank but if they reach a large size then i would remove them.

You dont want to heat the tank up quickly. You should slowly heat it up over several days.

I have mine on the left side of the tank next to the back wall just under the return. Its angled to about middle way of the tank. I can't turn it anymore to the front (right). I believe the circulation pump i have is a 240.
