Hey I'v got some skateboard poasters behind my tank too, I'm soo happy its spring now. back to fish, it looks good. Too get som more bang for your buck, you should put some tin foil underneath the lights, I used a glue gun to keep it in place. slso why don't you just use a hand saw to cut off...

    Canadian Pricing

i also hate the canadian priceing, its a total rip off and there is no reason to buy anything from canadian stors except plants, fish and tanks. it also sucks that Drs.foster & smith charge outrageous prices to ship to canada. i wanted to buy a filter and it would of cost me $100 to ship it here...

    MH lights

you can always pick up a few computer cooling fans to keep them moderatly cool. thats what most people use, and i think it works quite well for them. i'm not sure if your old hood will be big enough for every thing though

    MH lights

i have two 175 watt MH lights on my 120, that is 26" deep, and they penetrate the watter really well. they do get hot though so i woulden't put them that close to the watter. you could get a pendant light and hang it from the ceiling, that can look quite nice to. HTH

    How close to the light?

why don't you try a lilly of some kind. It could look really cool, i'm not quite sure how much light you would need, probobly not that much seeing as its leaves will be right at the waters surface. lillys could easily grow that tall(i had one in my pond that fell to the very bottom 4' and put up...

    one more lighting question

the tank does have a center brace, will that make a big shadow? because that would be sorta annoying. but i think i'm going to go with your advice travis, i was mostly worried about to much light. It will actually cost me less to use the metal halide lights to :D $32 each(canadian(but i might...

    one more lighting question

this is hopefully my last lighting question for my 125gal aquarium. I found some 175W metal halide lights for sale, they are out door, flood lights, so they will also be sealed against humidity(hopefully they will work). i'm contemplating, getting 3 of the metal halide lights wich would put me...
