Here's a different picture, if it helps someone get a definite ID on it. Thanks guys.

    ID some kind of worm?

I was afraid to hear fireworm- I've heard they stun fish. I guess I'll keep an eye on him. He won't be a threat until he gets much better, then?

    ID some kind of worm?

Hey guys, I can't seem to find an ID on this thing. I think he's some kind of worm. His head is at the top going inside that little crevice and he's been doing something with another creature that looks similar to him, only white and with more frilled edges. Please excuse the embarrassing...

Interested in the T5 fixtures. I live in Colorado how much would you charge for shipping? Do they come with bulbs?

    Help!!!!! 150 gallon tank saltwater

You should switch filtration to a wet/dry filter. Power filters (or hang on the back) are not suited for salt water. What's also great about Wet/dry is you can put other equipment in there so it doesn't have to be in your show tank- heaters and protein skimmers can be hidden under your tank. But...

    Attack of the bubbles!

Cyano can be neutralized by frequent water changes. I believe it's caused by an abundance of nutrients in the water. As a last resort you can use Red Slime control by blue bet. It works very well, but natural is always better. :-) I used it a couple months ago after 10% water changes every other...

Regulating water flow from a pump?

Thanks for the advice guys! I'll check out the stand pipe thing. I got a hold of the guy I bought it from and he solved the overflow problem so (hopefully) I'm set. :-)

Regulating water flow from a pump?

Ok, I'm not quite sure what you're asking me, but I do know this: i currently have it set up to siphon the water out, using the utube straight to the hole in the box outside of the tank. when I purchased it the outside box had a bunch of calcium build up but as I just described, water doesn't...

Regulating water flow from a pump?

The water level in my tank goes down too quickly and breaks the siphon. Even with the pump on for a good 30 seconds before the siphon starts the water level goes down below the ridges on the overflow. I was just assuming it was because the hole on the overflow was too wide, thus the pump can't...

Regulating water flow from a pump?

Ok, so I'm really dumb. For some reason I was thinking the pump was the problem, but it's actually the overflow box that's working too efficiently. So, given that I'd like to keep all this equipment, is there a plumbing attachment that I could use to regulate the water flow from the overflow...

Regulating water flow from a pump?

I have a wet/dry filter setup that's been pieced together from different sellers on craigslist. The pump I purchased (about 700 gph I believe) is pumping too much water for the overflow box to keep up. I was told I could get a gang valve for the pump, but the guy at Home Depot didn't know what I...

    Identification

I got this fish at my LFS and they said it'd be fine w/ what I had, so I got it. I typed in it's name "Rainbow Pike fish" in google to get a profile and have come up w/ absolutely nothing. Perhaps someone here has owned one of these guys and can ID it for me? Thanks!

    White plant like hairs

@Caccia I don't know if you found what you were looking for, but your description matched something I was looking for (little hairs sticking out of live rock) and I think I found mine. They're mini brittle stars. I thought they looked like brittle star appendages but I never saw the whole thing...

Lowering the PH of a tank w/ Aragonite sand?

One more question: as far as acclimation goes, suggestions? I'm thinking a drip acclimation from their current tank (7.0 ish PH- don't check GH) to the new one (about 8.0) might be too dramatic of a change. I was thinking of doing a 10% water change in their current tank and using the 8.0 water...
