May be a parasite, I had a chromis that had some kind of flesh eating parasite ate a hole right thru him... it started with a small spot, then begin to get bigger till he looked like he was bitten... never was able to diagnose the issue

I have had this lil hitch hiker for a while now growing on a rock, when the lights go out it at night it will extend its little tenticles, when it was smaller you could hardly see the tenticles just little bubble tips floating around it now that it has a lil more color and is big enough im am...

im purchasing a 75 gal tank soon, and wondering what i need to consider in making a good choice for lighting? Also i have 2 supreme skilter 250 filters, will i be able to use this filter for this size of a tank?

thats basically what i am i doing i guess, all my rock was cured when i bought it so i never delt with this before, i just started sw 3 months ago, tank was runnin great never even seen it cycle... just want to make sure i do this right..

Thanks chuck, thats basically what i did today i got a 30gal tank and put everthing in it, now i just need to wait... is there anything else i need to do and how long do you think this will take...?

ok so my 40 gal tank didnt explode but there is a nice big chunk of glass missing and sw all over my basement, i was at work when it happened so i have no clue how it happened... anyway in rush to save what was left i had put the live rock in a bucket of RO water which has been sitting for days...

thanks pat.. just kinda wonderin if it could be somethin simple, the RO water isnt expensive just thought it would be easier than havein to go to the lfs... and while im trying to cycle my tank i just wanna research all my options..

when doing a PWC, the water you take out, can you reuse it by filtering it out? is it a long process of doing it this way?
