I don’t feed live I use the chiclid blend he also now has clear fins

I feed Xtreme and I can’t see any parasites

His poop is ok his belly isn’t sunken but I rarely see him swimming he hangs out around the bottom could that be a disease

Thanks for your reply I have a smaller qt tank for my 20 gallon for new fish I recently cleaned all the media in the current filter and even replaced some but the water is still cloudy so I was looking at filters and canisters seemed popular for cichlids but wasn’t sure about how they work

There are two answers to the problem either the fish had fin rot and if treated right away with something like Erythromycin from api it will be fine Do you by chance see other fish nipping at it’s fins
