    Curious platy fry

Yeah, my yellow wags also have the sheen. But it's so little that you can almost see the certain scales it is on, like little dots. As far the Mickey Mouse pattern, that also formed later. They didn't have that at birth or a young age. Hope your fish are growing and doing well! My drop of blues...

    My new Sailfin Molly pair

So my female dropped! Since I'm not certain an the lineage in which these fish came from, i can't be certain that they are from my sailfin male. Either way, they are from the sailfin female and some sailfin male! And they're cute!

    Curious platy fry

Here are the parents to the fry. The blue Mickey Mouse is the mother and the tiny red wag was the father. Sorry about the water, I had put a piece of drift wood in that had cured yet... Beginner mistake.

    Curious platy fry

Here are the pictures. The stripes used to be more visible. And as you can see as they get older the stripes fade more and more as the blue become more visible. Sorry about the quality. I've also attached some of my yellow fry and one other light orange fry that came from that drop.

    Curious platy fry

Ironically, I had a drop that was full of babies colored like the "colorless with the stripe", except my fry had multiple stripes. Any where from two stripes, all the way up to five stripes per side! In the same drop, out of about 25 fry, I had three that were pale yellow with black fins and...

    Breeding and Sexing Bluegill

I was wanting a little more information about a standard Bluegill. He, or she, was wild caught and I have bad "it" for about a year since it was half dollar sized. Any information on breeding would be amazing. Such as, but not limited to: breeding age, sexing, breeding techniques, etc.. Thanks!

    My new Sailfin Molly pair

I love my live bearers! :) I have a separate tank for my female that's dropping. When my females get close to their due dates, I move them to a planted 10 gallon. Then after she is done dropping, I move her to my recovery tank. Which is another planted 10 gallon. After about a week I move her...

    Plant ID and mystery!

Thanks so much. I already knew about my snails. ;) in the last picture though, what is the blooming stalk like thing growing from the center of the plant.

    Plant ID and mystery!

I was wondering if you could identify each of the plants shown in the photos. I'm assuming the are amazon swords but I was wondering if there are different species as they are a little different. Also, one appears to be blooming. (Last photo attached) is that normal of this type of plant?

Why wont my mollies have babies?

The silver Molly appears to be very pregnant. It could also be water parameters, or, like was said above stress. Molly fish are known to abort pregnancies all the way up to full term if under stress.
