My oldest child played with my mag float, one glass thermometer shattered, pieces of the metal from the weight in the thermometer trapped in between the magnets, he then scraped that around th front of the tank, scratching the ever living snot out of the glass.
Thanks, my dad and I designed the original pond a few years ago, when I moved out of state it started having problems and my dad gave up and let the pond die. When I moved back i wanted to get it going again for him because it was an eyesore in his back yard, just a big pond shaped hole full of...
Should of be good, the rule I've heard is 5gallon per dwarf puffer. I have a 20 with 2 in it and they stay away from each other. They won't school. They destroy snails though.
I personally like snails and consider them to be benificial and keep them in almost every tank. That being said some snail species populations can get out of control quickly and I usually have some sort of population control measure in place. Something like assassin snails, or loaches.
I add anywhere from 5-20. I try to get a couple larger ones that will have a chance to reproduce in the tank and a bunch of little tiny ones. It's super easy to find them in the pond. Under lily pads, all over the 10ft long anacharis plants, pretty much everywhere I look in the pond.
I feed most tanks once a day skipping one day a week usually. I feed fry as many times as I can buy usually ends up being once because of my busy schedule. The dwarf puffer tank I add snails once a week. One benefit of having the pond, all the snails I could want.
