Petco is doing a $1 a gallon sale right now. A 29 gallon would be a good starter salt, but always get the biggest you can afford.

Well its not that stuff won't fit. It's that the water quality is harder to maintain in a smaller tank and freshwater fish don't seem to care as much as saltwater fish.

I wouldn't use a 12 gallon for salt.

Mine was the glass inside. Otherwise use some sort of filter floss.

I like blennies. Get a bicolor blenny. Wonderful personality once they warm up to you. Make sure you have plenty of "homes" for them.

You didn't ever say where you ordered it. I want to be sure to avoid them.

Why else would we be commenting on how much he was spending unless it was pointed at him spending too much on his aquarium. Read my previous post, I said he was burning money by spending that much on fake coral and rock. I could care less if he spent 12k on a 5 gallon goldfish bowl as long as...

My bicolor blenny gets white spotted over his entire body when stressed the least little bit. Water change, moving live rock. Etc

It's noted everywhere that hippo tang needs 6 ft to swim in. He's not upgrading for 6 months. And I think it's "so bad" because he's trying to tell someone else what to do when he's not even following proper behaviour.

You shouldn't have any nitrites or nitrates until your ammonia spikes. May be tap water issue. Test it straight from your faucet.
